Hello everyone. Started on my skid plate today, easy work but how are we attaching it to the bike? I’m guessing I have to make 3 brackets drill the holes and bolt it on?

For the front use a U bolt and for the rear you could use a couple of electrical conduit clamps and clamp to the frame.

You don't even want to know what he said about you. :p Here's how I did mine. On the Hawk there is a V shaped brace at the rear that I was able to attach to. Don't forget to drill a hole for the oil drain plug.

Yeah yours is just beautiful! I’m not near that artistic with an angle grinder. On the storm the drain plug or anything else doesn’t hang down far enough to bother, it would be good to have a cut out to save time but you can still get a wrench on it easily so it would be more of a drain hole I reckon ;)

What did you use for the skid plate? Aluminum?

Well here is what I ended up with. A coat of black paint and I’ll bolt it on. I guess looks don’t matter after you go through the woods so as ugly and weird as it is it is done ha.
