View Full Version : Hawk 250 front fender

Why has no one addressed the front fender looking like it's touching the wheel in the front? It looks horrible and not like an offroad bike should. I got mine a couple days ago and put 2 washers on each side of the rear mounts which netted about a 1" height increase at the front and it definitely looks better. I might take it a little further with a couple more washers but I wanna be sure the knobs wont catch the back of the fender at full suspension compression.

Welcome aboard! Post some pictures of the bike before and after mod.
Here's a picture of the front shock fully compressed. You should be okay.

No, I posted that picture so you could see how much room you will have when the forks are fully compressed. You have a few inches to work with. I've thought about doing the same thing. Just never got around to it.

In the advanced mode there is a paper clip in the tool bar at the top where you can attached picture.

Well I didn't get a before pic but here's the after. About 1" higher in the front. 14975

That looks about the same as mine without the shims. Maybe you fender mounting points have a slightly different casting or plastic is distorted where it mounts. Here's a pic. Did it sit lower than that?

Oh yes, and that's why I was asking if yours was shimmed because most pics and videos I've seen they don't sit that high.
