Before the KPMini was introduced to the US, the revamped American Lifan site posted news from Lifan. One press release was a press day in China where the recently released KPMini allowed journalists to ride the bikes semi-competitively around a racing track. The bikes were non-street versions of the Mini, and it gave me a good idea--when the bikes came to the US, they should offer 'racing-only' versions of the Mini and create a one-make racing series here. Today, on their Facebook page, they offered this photo, which reminded me of the press release from a couple years ago. What do you guys think of such an idea? I suppose, the recent linked article of Motorcyclist.com journalists riding the Benelli TT135 in the mini 24-hour race, the KP could simply enter into races in that local So. Cal. mini-bike racing organization's events, up to and including the 24 hours, but knowing the relatively initial low cost of the KP, and the photo, I thought what about a series dedicated to the KP itself? Would anyone here be interested. I guess it is a loaded question since we are so spread out across the continent, but here in So. Cal., I could envision it.
