Hi Jim

How are you liking your new GY6?
We have finally had some reasonable weather. Have you had a chance to ride it yet? Hope you are enjoying your new bike!

Cheers
Leo

Hey Leo,

I agree, the weather's been great lately :D I have ridden the bike a little, but not too much yet, just around the block (in the sticks, so thats like 4 miles), and around the yard... Been really busy with work, and yard work and stuff too, but when I had it out on the road it is awesome... It is so smooth, don't hear any rattles, it's great... I don't think it is as comfortable as my gy5 was, but my gy5 had the seat broken in, and the suspension had softened up... The seat on this one is a little wider, but it is fairly hard, I think it may soften up after a while though... The only problem I have now is I'm about ready for a new rear tire

Hey Leo, not sure if you are thinking of getting a gy6 or not, but if you do you should talk to Ken at coast to coast... I've been back a few times for extra stuff and they got me a new tire (since I burnt the original one off :)), they really great to deal with :D

Hi Jim

Thanks for the info on Coast to Coast. I think I will stick with my GY5 for now, but it is great to know they are good to deal with. I spoke with Ron Kovich at the Motorcycle Show (I think he is the owner). He seemed like a nice fellow and he said that they had a great stock of parts.

I think I may pick up a spare headlight bulb. My original is still fine, but I gather these are not a standard size base (BA20D). It may be good to have a spare in case mine burns out on a weekend.

Cheers

They do have lots of parts, but they just moved from one warehouse to another, so they may not know where everything is quite yet as they sort it out... I'm not sure about the headlight bulb, my dad had gotten a spare I think from just a normal autoparts store... If I would have to guess I would say Alder Auto, but I don't know for sure where he got it...
