I've been looking into the LF200GY-5 models alot and have found a few things I'd like some adivce on. First of all, one of the biggest problems I've heard about with this model is that at relatively-high speeds (50+ mph) they tend to vibrate alot. Supposedly the '07-'08 models have a new and improved counter-balance on them. Secondly, this website http://www.lifan-motorcycles-wholesale.com/Lifan-GY200/ seems unbeatable with the price and the promise of 50% off replacement parts and the 3 year warranty. The website speaks of the new counter balance but it is only shown in some of the pictures.
Has anybody dealt with this particular company or any of their products? Any other reccomendations? Thanks!

FWIW, I don't have a Lifan but I do have a China bike dual-sport 200 and I don't experience any significant difference in vibration at higher speeds. You will get the single cylinder thump no matter what, but those who have the counter balance engine say there is less vibration.
If you can get a lifan cheaper at that site I would say 'go for it'. There are plenty of parts around through various dealers if you need parts so that will never be an issue. Good luck...........

I don't know about the reputation of lifan-warehouse, but I think they are tied in to T-Motorsports. TMS have a shaky background here due to not getting paperwork out to members in a timely manner, and having the wrong things written on them (to get the bike street registered).
However, if you live close enough, you can pick the bike up in person, and make sure the paperwork is in order.

Pay with a credit card. That way, if there are any hassles you can go back to your credit card company for credit on the items....just a thought.

You would probably be better off getting one from Brian at www.motoextreme.net for about $100 more and not have any hassles with titles or warranty work.
My lifan vibes are no different than any other thumper. Haven't ridden the new counter balance version yet.

It looks like the guy is out of stock on the bike. I would seriously consider Kato's suggestion of motoxtreme, or try Hooper Imports, although his Lifan is the GY-2 model vs. the GY-5 model.

Thanks a lot guys. Thelink Kato sent didnt work and when I changed the .net to .com it took me to a place with no other working links on the site. All I'm tryin to do is find a good, dependable dealer and not be stuck dealing with dummies.

So far I get nothing but good vibrations from my TMS200 d/s (same as the Lifan lf200gy-5) from TMS with about 200miles on the clock. It has the unbalanced engine, 163fml-2 as opposed to the 163fml-2m balanced one. No noticeable/objectionable vibration at 60mph range. I'm still looking for the 85 mph advertised by TMS though.  Once I find that speed, I'll let you know if any shows there. Except for a typo on the MSO which was quickly corrected the TMS transaction went fine.

Sorry, I spelled the link wrong. www.motoxtreme.net is correct.
