View Full Version : Save your Hellcat rear side panels from breaking

The tabs that join the rear to the front side panels under the seat have too large a space between them. See below on my red Hellcat what happens if the screw is tightened down. I recommend filling the gap with nylon washers as seen on the blue one. I also use nylon washers all places I could find where this brittle plastic meets metal.

The same panels have the same issue on the Gen 2 Vader as well. I used silicone rubber black washers i got at a plumbing store, fills the gap nicely and also help keeps buzzing and vibration down. Sure neoprene / nylon washers would work just as well , i mostly used what i did because thats what they had where i stopped haha!



Seriously, it really is a good idea to put spacers in there, the plastics on these China Grom clones is really brittle so anything and everything you can do to save it and/or protect it is time and money well spent.
