Came across this website and come to find that they have a local depot.

I don’t know much about BMS and the CRP 250 but it looks like a good contender. I can’t really find too much info on it so I have an email in to them to see if it’s DOT compliant in my state. I’m not sure why I have the need for a second bike but I feel like I got bit by the chonda bug.

There are a couple members on here with a CRP250. Good alternative to the Hawk. Still has an unbalanced motor, but does come with inverted forks.

Good bike. You can also find it for less here. http://shopapmc.com/New-BMS-Bashan-250-5-Speed-Enduro--Equipped-w-Zongshen-Engine-_p_15.html

The CRP is actually a Bashan bike; if you follow the posts, you know they are good. However, Bashan seems to use 'oddball' wheel sizes on their popular Storm and Brozz, but NOT with the CRP. So you will get 21/18 wheels with this bike. And it is 49 state EPA/DOT legal; BMS are pursuing CARB certification for California, and the bike was supposed to be 50 state legal back in March, but as of now, 49 state.

From what I understood months ago--CARB for street, but now you ask it, good question! I tried calling BMS after I saw Turbopowersports' youtube ad about the BMS, and in the description it mentioned BMS seeking CARB. The woman who answered the phone at BMS could barely speak English, but I later confirmed with Bashan's rep that BMS were seeking certification for Calif., but sadly the rest of Bashan were not seeking it. However, I assumed street legal, but we all know about ass u ming...

There is a couple from northern MN that purchased two of those bikes, the seat height is misleading, as the MN people shaved the seat to lower a bit. I cant think of their name on this site...I think the name is northrider….but gave that bike great reviews. I have been looking at it as well, and still have a hard time between the storm and the BMS. shopapmc has a good buy on both. Also a couple from northern Idaho bought 2 hawks, and lowered accordingly.....I think their name is johnny216. Last summer I bought a ttr225, fairly reasonable, and put at least 500 to 1000 in it just fixing it up. I should have started with a new chinahonda of some kind. Oh, have you checked out motocheese, he also has info on the hawks, and a trb7. There is tons of good info here, by some of the best! I just figured out you are located in Henderson, NV.....and the dealer is also. If you go and check them out, could you give us an analysis of the dealer and the bike? THANKS!!!
Good luck and keep us posted.
