Of course there is gas in the tank. I'm sure that you pulled the gas line off the carb. and the gas is running. I also assume (yes, I know what "assume" means) that you tapped on the side of the float bowl to make sure the gas is going through the needle and seat. So, what does that leave? One possibility is that when you mounted the carburetor, you over tightend the nuts/bolts that hold it on. Or pinched the o-ring that goes between the carb and the intake pipe. After all of that and still no joy, the carb will have to come off to clean the swarf out of the carb. Yes, the factory does this, but it's done on a jig with compressed air. And about 1% of the time it doesn't get it all. These carbs have tiny passages, and tiny jet holes that ANYTHING can plug. A small riding lawn mower inline fuel filter is not a bad idea...ARH

With the new exhaust it will run leaner. You said new carb? What pilot and main jets do you have in it? will it run okay with the stock carb? Are you adjusting the Idle speed on the side or the Idle mixture on the bottom of the carb?

Inline fuel filter to where exactly? I just got the carb and out the 110 jet on it and made sure it was clean and perfectly clean.

110 and a 40 the 40 came on the carb. It bogs out a lot with old carb on it

Yeah screwed the air and fuel mixture screw all the way in and 1.5 turns out and and the idle screw back and fourth it’d idle fine on choke just dies once turned off

I'm not sure which carb you bought. Just something to check. I know some carb chokes are just the opposite from stock. You may be turning on the choke and killing it.

Depending on what make carb. On a Mikuni a 40 pilot will be too large. A 25 or 27.5 will be about right.

Okay I’ll have to try that the carb is a Mikuni.

Yeah, a 40 mikuni pilot is way too big. Assuming it is a mikuni jet. Verify what style pilot you have before ordering. If it does use the mikuni pilot it will be a vm28/486 jet.

What is your altitude?
I am at sea level, have a 27.5 pilot with a 120 main. the air fuel screw is about 2 1/2 turns out (factory set). Needle clip in the middle
Rocky mountain atv sells Mikuni jets, and it might be a good idea to buy a few sizes of each jet. If you post your altitude, I'm sure we can get you close.
