As i mentioned in my Jeep patriot thread i traded the jeep in on this truck. It came down to the fact that i had 3 vehicles that could do the same job and needed something newer i could tow with. Hence why i got this.

Info about the new ride: 2015 Ram 1500 Express with blackout package.
5.7 Hemi
6 speed auto
MBRP exhaust
Mopar lowering kit
20" Dub wheels

Nice truck  I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Quad Cab with the 8 speed. Love the truck. Great fuel mileage and lots of power to tow. With a good custom tune that little regular cab will haul butt. It's unreal how detuned these truck are. You can gain around 100hp just from tuning. Don't waist your money on hand held tuners. Complete waist of money. Bring it to a performance shop and let them dyno tune it. My truck is completely stock and I personally tuned it with HPtuners. I took it to the track a few weeks ago on test and tune night. Here's my best run of the night. I'm embarrassed to show my first few runs. Almost as fast but man was I sleeping on the light. lol It's been a few year so I was out of practice. Not even close to a cutting a perfect light. :lmao:

Thanks, Def getting used to driving it and getting a pretty good feel for it now. In 2015 most manufacturers started encrypting the PCMs to make them unable to be tuned in stock form. The plan over the winter is to park it and pull the PCM out to ship it to HPTuners to unlock it. It will then be remote tuned by a tuner up here in canada called Player 3 tuning. My friend with an SRT 8 Grand Cherokee will be installing the tune sent by Player 3 with HP Tuners.

As for bolt on parts that will be added as well:

JBA Competition headers
Mopar air box

It is quite likely the MBRP catback will be removed and replaced with a mandrel bent system consisting of a Dual inlet/Dual outlet muffler as a merge point. There may be an X pipe or H pipe installed ahead of the muffler depending on what muffler i decide on. So the full system will be as such. Headers into high flow cats, X or H pipe if needed. Muffler then over axle pipes. Pretty good chance i will eventually swap on a Sport hood and connect it to the Mopar air box to make it a functional Ram Air system for a bit extra power.

Awesome, You should be able to get in the mid 11's. I have a couple of buddy's running mid to lower 11's with similar setups on there Rams. At one time I did a good bit of tuning for others but were mostly GM products because at the time that was all HP tuners supported. Of course when the finally started supporting Rams I had to test it out. lol

This was the first time I ever took this truck to the track. I was surprised how quick it ran. I had to borrow one of my buddy's helmet after the first run or they wouldn't let me run it again. Now I got the itch to start racing again. :yay:

Def looking forward to uncorking the performance in this truck. Tbh i have been kicking around the racing bug as well but in the form of setting up one of my two Chevy C10s for it rather then the Ram. Granted the Ram will see some strip time as well. Right now i am really heavily considering my '69 C10 as my eventual drag truck. The Ram will simply get it to said track with my trailer lol.

Is Edmonton the nearest track?
