Will this work - I need to remove throttle play

The adjuster is extended all the way and there is still too much play. This thing appears to have 4 cable mounting positions. My thoughts is I could use a position that takes up more slack on the cable. I just don't know if everything else will fit.

I don't see why it wouldn't , assuming your cable isn't so long it will be in the last hole by default , giving you no additional adjustment .On the bright side , it would still be of higher quality than the stock part, and it is a "quick twist" setup .

Thanks, I am going to order it and I am debating ordering a genuine Mikuni. I like the idea of being able to change out the main jet without removing the carb. Also, some people (in the Amazon review section) reported the pilot jets for the real Mikunis were not fitting the Mikuni clone carbs.

Part of me wants to put more time and money into it but then it literally is falling apart. Perhaps just putting that money towards a new bike would be best. IDK

It was out of stock so I ordered a grip kit that included the same quick throttle for a few dollars more.

F$ck it, I've ordered a Genuine Mikuni and Uni Filter too. I am just going to keep dumping money into this thing. I almost ordered a 190 but a lot of the FB groups talk about trouble with the gear box and adding an oil cooler is mandatory unless you want trouble. I don't want that much of a project on my hands at the moment.

I saw another user in a clone oriented FB group who said he got that throttle and it works great and took up the slack.

I ordered this PWK24 flat slide clone on Amazon and a kit of Chinese Keihin jets for it. Works perfect with no extra throttle cable

You need to purchase an intake or adapter separately which makes it a little more expensive than the VM copies everyone uses - but I guess thats offset a little if you have to but a throttle to use the VM
