Hi are there any drop in engine swaps for this bike? Can you fit the 250cc engine in?

I saw this link and it got me thinking what about this?

If there is no other engine that will drop in I am thinking about a custom installing one. It should not be hard at all, motor mounts exhaust and your set. Once I get plates I can start thinking about it more. CR500 engine would be a nice one or a 400-650cc honda.

Bataycan is one of the members here. He has been researching these bikes and improving upon them, but the biggest problem has been that no one here, the cheap guys we are, want to experiment with expensive aftermarket parts for $1K bikes (or so it seems).

Another problem is logistics--his products ship from the Phillippines, although I remember him mentioning he has a dealer/distributor in Illinois. Selfishly, I would like to see you buy this to read how it performs, if you have the $$ to play with.

I wont drop that kind of cash into one of these when $1100 could make a nice down payment on a drz400s.

I'm sure that engine hauls butt but what about the rest of the bike and its low quality materials, can it handle the power.(I doubt it)

well what im thinking you can pick up a parts bike or a used decent motor from a 400cc or 2 stroke for a few hundread and bolt it in! I can weld and make any mounts to make it work. Youd only spend a few hundread on a parts bike or used motor. A 250cc 2 stroke or somethin sweet like that =) Maybe this summer I will decide what I want to do..

I've seen drz 400 engines on ebay for that price and they make 30-35 hp at the rear wheel. I think that $1,100 for a chinese aircooled single is way out of hand no what the displacement.
