Hey guys and gals. I was going to ride tommorrow - Sat. But I gotta do a little maintenance so I'll hit next week.

For the oil filter spring screen - do you want to have the rubber gasket facing the plug. I assume so. I was changing the oil out and the instructions aren't very helpful.

I will have to tighten the chain it's very sloppy, shouldn't be an issue. I did notice
earlier after doing a quick warmup and ride before the oil change - that the engine was cutting out when I gave it throttle. It idle's fine but with gas it stutters. Should I let it idle for 10 minutes or so. I have good gas in there and it hasn't sat around too long. Anyway, always something to fix right.

leave the spring and screen the way they are but put the cap on the other end of the spring. The screen sits against the inside of the motor, rubber first, the spring goes on second pushing against the rubber to seat it against the block, then the cap goes on to tension the spring.

thanks! I think I had it that way before but Never hurts to be sure.

Ok now - I got an issue with full throttle.

Bike idle's good before and during warmup.

When I give it light throttle and all the way up or down no problem.

But quick bursts of throttle and the bike wants to die. Not sure what I messed

up. Checked air filter - good - fuel filter looks good but I haven't disconnected it

yet.

My first ride was in mud and clay dirt. I sprayed the bike down when I got home

and rode it a little and let it idle. That was like a month ago.

It's a little too early for a clogged fuel filter? Any suggestions would be most

helpful - Thanks!

Easy stuff out of the way--see if you have your choke on 1/2 or full choke. These bikes can be confusing as to what setting it should be at, and as you mentioned, the manual is oftentimes not much help. Also, see what your plug looks like if you are certain your choke is in the correct position. Those are two easy fixes. Have you adjusted the valves? More complicated but not an impossible feat, and supposed to be done regularly, anyway.
