I ran across another good option for a street bike this morning. It's a Jonway YY350-9A (http://en.jonway.com/Racing_Bike/3509A.html) sold as a Vitacci GTO (https://www.vitacci.com/motorscooter/gto/)in the US. 320cc liquid cooled, parallel twin with 24 hp. Specs claim top speed of 140 kmh (87mph). which is plenty fast enough for the interstate. Goes for around $3000. I like it. :D.

It would be fun to rip around on a small twin. The power is a bit disappointing for the engine size, and I have a feeling that the bike is a bit smaller than it looks so I don't know how comfortable I would be.
I would love to strip the front and lower plastics off and change the headlight to something a bit less cheesy looking.

I would like to see a few videos with someone riding. The engine itself been around for a long time. Johnny Pag motorcycle used a couple of versions of the engine. Regal Raptor still uses the 250cc and 320cc but not sold here in the US any more. Parts are easy to come by.

It's weird...I have heard the Vitacci name here and there. It seemed like years ago. It made me think how Motobuys slaps old, defunct brand names on current products. I thought you were going to show a Taotao TBR7 rebadged as a Vitacci GTO in a Motobuys ad! :lmao:

Never have been a fan of the little twins and I have plenty of experience with the Honda 400s, the first streetbike motor I ever completely disassembled. Also I think if a bike looks like it's going a thousand mph it ought to be able to do atleast 150. I wonder how buzzy it would be at 70mph on the freeway if the top speed is only 87. 🤔

IDK, I think they should send me one to test and review. :hehe: I'll sacrifice my butt for research to make sure no one ends up with numb buns.

It looks pretty good, other than the swingarm appears to be the "standard issue" Chinese unit which is weakish , ugly , and has turrible chain adjusters. Probably not as big an issue on a dedicated street model as it is on the Dual Sport / Dirt only offerings but i will be glad when they stop putting "gew gaws" and "play purties" on chinabikes at the factory and make the basics more solid /well designed.

You mean like the muffler? lol Yeah, if I had one that would be the first thing to go. The rest of the bike looks good.

My biggest issue with this bike is the fact that I can get my hands on a 2019 Kawasaki Z400 with ABS for about 800 more brand new. Figure this bike shipped is $3000 and its not hard to find a Z400 for $3800 as end of year bikes.
For my $800 extra I get - a Kawi and all of the mainstream hardware and quality that comes with that, almost double the power with only 79 more CC's, similar styling
Not entirely fair if we went with MSRP to MSRP, because at that point its 3k delivered vs. 5k. but the power difference is pretty drastic. Now, if it was around $2500 delivered I think I would be a bit more open to it, or if they could manage at least 28-30hp from that 320cc motor. As it sits you get half the bike for not half the price, and it isn't hard to get a Z400 for just a bit more, and then have a bike with good resale and a huge aftermarket.
Maybe I am being unfair, and I admit that I have not sat on or ridden one of these to make a real comprehensive judgement of the bike, but where I sit now, the price is a bit dear for what you get. $2500 delivered is my make it or break it point for this bike.

The RE Himalayan thumper makes only 25hp or so, as does the Genuine G400C, and they both cost considerably more than the Vitacci. You guys are a tough crowd.

this crowd wouldn't be buying a bike based only on what power is produced. the whole concept of chinabikes is they are cheap prices. As they start moving their pricing up, they are going to meet with competition from the larger non-china manufacturers who are far superior in power, fit/finish, and reliability. Hemalayan and the G400C are far over-priced for what they are. as a chinarider, I'd never pay that much.
This IS a nice looking bike though. at 320cc, 10.5-1 ratio and water cooled twin, I would expect it to be putting out more power.

-I agree that the G400C is overpriced. However, he Himalayan seems to be reasonably priced to me, provided that the dealer doesn't charge an out the door price way above MSRP. Off road suspension is more expensive than street underpinnings.

yeah....I may have a bit strong on that one. not FAR overpriced. just "overpriced" (to me, of course). I'm not sure what the R/E quality is like. Haven't seen one up close.

Vince with Venom Motorsports has been very helpful on providing me with the correct information on the bike and has answered every question I asked. These guys are top notch. If anyone decides to buy this bike let them know you heard about it on Chinariders.

It's actually a 320cc that performs like a 250cc. lol Still hadn't figured out how they past this off as a 250cc with the EPA. In fact i don't even see it on the EPA list.

Interesting. According to SPS, it's CARB approved.

Just an update. My suspensions where correct. This GTO was never EPA certified. It seems they were trying to slip it by under another bike with a similar model number. The bike was discontinued and the importer was heavily fined. :ohno: The engine on this bike was last approved in 2016 by Pagsta. It should of been an easy certification to get. Too bad because i was very interested in that bike.

Interesting development. I looked for the bike's certification and never saw it. I scrolled down the Excel spreadsheet. However, there always seem to be bikes that are literally put on sale, and are not on the EPA list. They do get put on the list later when the EPA does its periodic updates. But, no wonder the GTO seemed like a ghost bike! Because it was...

They were trying to sneak the Howlet which has a 320 cc engine in along with the Falcon, GTS which have a 244cc engine with a CV drive. That's why they advertised it as a 250cc. Howlet (GTO) was listed in the certifications. So i guess technically it had EPA certification until they got caught.
