Well after months of procrastinating and talking with Moose with Venom Motorsports I decided to pull the trigger on a new street bike ?????. I love my Hawk but I've been looking for a while for a street oriented bike. Something a little more stable for higher speeds and for a daily commuter for work without breaking the bank. Besides I was getting bored since I've pretty much ran out of mods to do on the Hawk. lol Moose sent me a picture yesterday of my new bike getting ready to be shipped. Most of Venom Motorsports bikes are shipped out of there warehouse and not dropped shipped. Most of these bikes are built to there specification for them. They will come with the notarized MCO and BOS in the crate so no waiting weeks to get it registered. That's a big plus in my book. :tup: Both Moose and Vince answered every question I threw at them. So many question I felt like I was being a pain in the ars. :hehe: But answered every one of them. These guys are top notch. Glad VenomMotorSportsUSA.com are sponsors of Chinariders.net.

I truly wish more people would pay the very small price difference between Venom and the "absolute cheapest Grom clone seller i can find anywhere "., and these Forums would have far, far less horror story threads about receiving damaged bikes , not being able to get anyone on phone for help, or Dealer ignoring valid warranty claims. Venom also has an excellent series of "How To" and "Welcome to " videos up on YouTube in regards to their Bikes .

I wish I could afford the KPR200 or better yet the KP200 or the GTO 250 but was a little out of my price range. Besides there not much fun in getting an EFI bike. No challenge on getting it tuned right. lol

I took the Hawk out for a couple of long rides over the weekend before she gets pushed aside when the new bike arrives. Well I went out with in intent to shoot some riding video. When I got home to look at the videos there was only about 5 minutes of the beginning of my trip. I had stop briefly by my moms and thought I had pushed the record button. :doh: That's what happens when the weathers so nice and you are in a hurry to get out and enjoy it all. :ohno: Oh well I had fun anyway. So I ended up making a short video after I discovered I screwed up. lol Damn, after watching this I sound like a use car salesman. :lmao: Moose with Venom has been a pleasure to deal with. All my mod parts are out for delivery. :D Come on bike, I'm ready. :D

Bike is still across the border in Canada. Snow has the shipment on hold for a couple of days which is okay with me because we have rain predicted till Thursday. Friday would be a perfect day for delivery in my book because it will be nice and sunny.

Just got a call from R&L and bike is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday February 12,2020 after 3:00pm. I'm not going to get too excited because tracking still shows it's still across the Canadian border with weather delay. But the sooner the better. lol And my box of mods from Amazon just got dropped off. :D
FYI: I've already received the BOL and the bikes hasn't even gotten here. :tup: Already have it insured at no extra cost from Geico. $99 a year for both bikes.

Don't know where you are at but over the weekend Brampton,ON CA had a good bit of snow. Enough to keep them off the highway. They should of hired one of them Ice Road truckers. ;) I think they're okay to roll today.

Well I hope tracking is wrong. I have an appointment for delivery after 3:00pm today with R&L Carriers. Just checked tracking and shows it still in Wilmington, OH and Shipments delayed due to customs inspection. :hmm: I didn't know the Canadian border was in Ohio. lol . I think Jay and Oneleggedrider stopped the truck and are inspecting it. :hehe: I'll have to give R&L a call later this morning to see what is really going on. I would be a little pissed if I had to drive all the way home and wait for hours only to get a call "Oh your shipment has been delayed" >:(

Update. Just received a call from R&L. Truck was delayed. Duh!!! lol She will call me back towards the end of the day to reschedule the delivery. I was literally looking up the PRO# and was about to dial the number when she called. lol I think i'll reschedule it for Friday morning and just take the whole day off. :D

While checking on tracking I noticed the shipping weight is only 265 lbs. Can that be right for a full size 250 bike? That seem light. The HP per lbs. will be nice if it's correct.

She came late this afternoon. I got my X22R 250 from VenomMotorSportsUSA.com. I was a little worried when I saw the box. The crate was good and heavy duty. Had rectangle tubing on the side
No damage to the bike. It did have one tiny Nick but must of happened during creating because of the location. Already touched it up so can't even see it anymore. The camera had ran out of memory so didn't get a full video of the unboxing. I'll get that up sometime tomorrow. Here are a few pictures. I'm really impressed by the quality of the bike. It cranked right up and idled so smooth. I took it up and down the street and ran it through a few hear cycles. Bike runs so smooth. Clutch and brakes felt real good. Shifting was smooth as well. I check the fork bearing and swing arm and guess what? It actually had grease. Lol I'll go through the whole bike when I get home from work tomorrow and check bolts and lube up everything just to make sure. So far I'm impressed. Does feel way different than the Hawk. But I'll get use to that real quick.

No but will eventually port and deck the head on this one too. Possibly a performance cam if I can find a match from another OHC engine. The bike is very light. I picked up one end of the crate by myself while my daughter pulled the palletbout from under. My shipping ticket said 265 lbs. Hp to weight ratio will be higher than my hawk.

I think WGK makes cams for these, and possibly the CRF230 cams might be compatible with it.

That was the shipping weight. When I first saw that I was like no way. But when I picked up the rear of the crate with the bike still on it up to remove the pallet it felt so light. I'll have to put it on a scale and see actual weight.

Dam I cant wait to see you weigh this. If it's 265 with packaging the crate and pallet got to be at least 40lbs. I bet the bike is some were around 200-220 very tempting it would have an awesome powered to weight ratio especially with mods.

Overall thats a very clean looking bike, and at it's weight point with a few mods that thing ought to really rip - what tranny has it got in it, 4,5, or 6 speed?

The swing arm is steel. I checked it last night with a magnet but it is pretty thick. It's a 5 speed.
