I bought this last Saturday and promptly entered it in Emmetts' Brewing Bigwheel Downhill Race/Heavyweight Outlaw Class.

Mods have begun. The above has the bars moved forward enough so I can breathe. Trying to keep it under $50.
I needed to get the seat moved back and that required removing the rear wheels to get my drill in there.(Note to self:Buy RA drill)Probably a good thing I pulled the wheels, the bearings suck. New ones here tomorrow.

Rest of the mods will be a set of MC folding foot pegs mounted near the top of the fork. As the rear tires don't hold air, gonna Slime the snot out of them. I want the full 36psi in both. Need to do something about that backrest.

Part of the requirement from Emmetts' for my class is to make it as outlandish as possible and I still have all that stuff my kid sent me for my knee scooter.

Brakes, HAH. Brakes are akin to admitting defeat.

Moving the seat to just in front of the rear axle gave me the room I needed. I only need to pedal ten to fifteen feet, then gravity takes over for the next couple hundred yards. Nets and hay bales are used to stop all forward momentum. If you get through that, you’re going for a swim in the river. But you’ll be airborne for some distance before the soaking.

My SIL is entered, too, so I expect my kid will be taking videos.

Cabin fever makes people do strange things.

Ok, I see the seat, wheels and stuff...Where’s the beer holder?

Oh yeah...Stop when it hurts, or gets expensive!

New rear wheel bearings installed. Some Slime in the rear wheels but I ran out. Poop. Supposed to be a nice day tomorrow so I’ll probably make a spectacle of myself in the new neighborhood.

Also, I found out that Eli’s old helmet with the lizard spikes on it fits me.

As it’s a Rhino trike, I think it will be called the Rhino-plasty. Tomorrow for the pic.

Thinking of changing the name to Rhinovirus. Wrapped up most of the mods today but pics weren't happening, except for this one sad looking selfie.

One week to go. I think I’m ready, if I can recover from today’s fun. Courtney and Eli had an All Schools Tae Kwan Do tournament today. Basically, all the schools Bill Cho runs got together.
Anywho, as a time killer between events, there was a Daddy tug o’ war, which I got drafted into because one side was short a guy, and I am Courtneys Dad. There ended up being thirty guys total and I was the old fart. The side I was on won two out of three bouts. I haven’t strained that hard in years. I want to say I’ll feel it in the morning, but I feel it now. Ouch.

After each of our wins, Eli ran up and hugged me.

Where is a descent picture ?

Next Saturday, if I’m not in the ER. Nothing much for hills at the new place.

Looking like this may be postponed a couple of weeks. The St. Patrick’s Day parade has already been cancelled.

Fortunately (or unfortunately), NHRA, NASCAR and Indy car series plan to run their events as planned this weekend, with fans in attendance. I do believe nitromethane can kill any infection.

Definitely postponed until sometime in June.
