Greetings all,
After a lot of debating and deciding I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first china bike. I decided on the tbr7, mainly because of the green color. I absolutely love it. I’m not new to the motorcycle world, but I did just sell my r6 to make room for this wonder of Chinese engineering. I’ve done lots of research and reading up from you lovely folks here and bought some of the upgrades I see constantly being talked about. I ordered from txpowersports, I know they seem to have a bad rep here, I guess I’ll have to wait and see if I regret my purchase. My bike did ship today though so let’s see how long it takes to get to me in AZ. Well this has been a long enough post so I’ll end it here, looking forward to sharing my experience and gain some knowledge from you guys!

Nice, hopefully that means I’ll be seeing mine soon then. I see you’re in Glendale, I’m in litchfield park. Is there any groups around town that go out riding or adventuring??

Not sure why TX gets a bad rap.
I ordered from them online, never spoke to a human, had my bike and MCO in 5 days ( to NYC ).
Bike reggy'd fine.
I got no beef with that company.

I'm unsure of the exact reason/s, but i have read a few different posts from others that said something along the lines of dishonesty and even fake reviews? I don't know, but so far I've got nothing to complain about. Good to hear you had no problems registering. I imagine it won't be as bad as registering my GTR was.

The real measure of a man is how he acts, not when everything is going well, but when everything is going wrong.
I have a bad opinion with them from two of my own i teractions when I had issues with parts I ordered and the way they blew me.off.and treated me like I was trying to rip them off.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully I won’t have the same experience.

The biggest issue I recall was a member here named Azhule. He ordered a closeout model; a Bashan model from a few years back. What he got was what he could tell was a sun-faded floor model that was disassembled and thrown back into a random box and shipped to him. He had some warranty issues that were never taken care of, including some crap wheels. That being said, he kept the bike, got new wheels, and has set some unofficial speed records verified by GPS in the mountains of Colorado (80+ mph). Actually, his bike is what Peace Sports started selling very recently, the Motomax 250, but his bike has 21/18 wheels as opposed to the Motomax's 17/17. I believe his is the 200cc engine vs. the latest version's 23Xcc engine.

Fair point Dan.
I imagine they are perhaps uber efficient when it comes to the business of selling bikes in a box as their cash cow and beyond that everything is small fish and therefore gets less attention.
Perhaps I am then fortunate that I did not have to deal with a human being

I think I’m in the same school of thought with you. Probably just don’t bother much with the parts side of the business.

Good afternoon all. Sorry for the delay in the post, bike arrived yesterday evening at around 8pm. Spent around 4hrs getting everything sorted and running. She’s currently on a 100 but I might go down to a 98 to see if she likes it better. Put a 108 in at first and she was so rich she was spitting gas into the intake lol. So far so good. I have nothing to complain about from txpowersports, order to delivery took 7 days. Can’t complain with that. Here are some pictures!

Did you make sure to set the valve lash? Most overlooked thing during assembly, and the biggest cause.of running and tuning issues.

First thing I did before I assembled. Not to worry, running by the suggested specs I found in your hawk 250 thread actually.
