View Full Version : Hi risers for handlebars...

Just wondering how popular risers are on these dirt bikes. Recently ordered a set that are 1.2 inch in additional height. I might have gone higher but that might necessitate moving cables and the like which I'd rather not do. Figured this would be the least expensive way to find out if its a noticeable difference. I know the height could vary greatly depending on the size of the rider and personal preferences. In the scheme of things I'm just curious how many guys end up doing it vs letting them stock. :hmm:

Interesting... no one has tried this. Even though there's obviously little interest I still may offer up a post after I've tried them. Maybe everyone is changing bars instead ?

There are a few members that have them installed. Megadan for sure has them installed on his Hawk.

Yep, riser adapters for my Renthal Fat bars. I don't have a good close up shot of them, but you can see them in this one clearly enough.

Shouldn't there be a few responses regarding how they worked out ( or didn't ) as the case may be ? After all, they might be the single most important part of the whole bike. And positioning them, are they lined up with the forks like most folks do. Perhaps slightly forward or maybe a tad backwards ?

Raisers are a must depending what kind of handlebar you are going to use.
On my hawkesque, i put a clone of a renthal handlebars, first no risers and i found out that without them, start button and other parts will hit the plastics of the tank.
This are the ones i had.

My last bike had risers like the ones wilddog posted. These current ones have been on my bike since day one. They work fine.

I have them adjusted to suit my height/build. A little bit forward of alignment with the forks and the bar ends parallel with the ground. Nothing hits, nothing needed changing.
