Hello guys ive been stalking this form for awhile ever since i discovered the hawk 250 i found motocheez & oddballperformance and a couple other people on youtube upgrade things on the hawk 250 which i plan on getting within 2 months ive recently been buying some stuff in preparation for the day i get the rps hawk 250 and would like someone to go over my list so far and to also help me a bit with a couple things such as where to find parts. I would also like to add im new to mechanics so this will be a learning process for me so here i go.

Here is a list of what i have so far:

1.feeler gauge for valves
2.spark plug gap tool
3.tusk 6 way spoke wrench
4.17t jt front sprocket
5.42t jt rear sprocket
6.NGK (2202) DPR8EIX-9 Iridium IX Spark Plug
7.loctight blue and some marine grease
8.snap ring tool
9.STONEMEN Full Exhaust Muffler System Slip On For Honda CRF150F CRF230F 2003-2013 Titanium

i also plan on upgrading tires and tubes later.

so here is the part i need guidance with

- what chain can someone link from amazon what will work perfectly with the 17t and 42t without cutting the chain? im looking at the - RK Racing Chain 428MXZ-130 Steel 130-Links Heavy Duty Chain with Connecting Link from amazon will that work fine on the hawk rps 250 with my setup i plan on doing??

Also ive been searching for a vm26 carb on amazon and the one with 100+ reviews on amazon is out of stock and has been for awhile so can somone link me where to get the carb and the jets i wana use a 115 jet cause i already got the aftermarket exhaust and i live barely above sea level i just dont know what to look for when buying carbs like i said im very new to this stuff lol.

And lastly i emailed the guy who people recommended to for the hawk digit clusters and he no longer sells them he told me this today so i found this on ebay can you guys/girls look at this and see if its everything i need here is one i found on ebay does this look like it has everything ill need??

oddBallperformance here. :hi: Just call me Dan.

As far as your questions.

For the Chain, 130 links will work, but I personally found a 128 link chain to work better once you go below 45 teeth on the rear sprocket. Don't be shy about removing links from a chain if you need to, it is not as hard as you think. There are a ton of walk throughs on how to do so with various methods all over youtube.

As far as the VM26 carburetors go, I did a little looking and I would hazard a guess that most of the U.S. inventory is a bit low. Almost every retailer with the 30mm VM26 has delivery times set for mid April, which to me indicates they are shipping them out from China directly.

I did come across this one. Only 2 left in stock, but has prime. https://www.amazon.com/Anngo-Carburetor-200cc-Motorcycle-Motorbike/dp/B07FD2M8S3/ref=sr_1_26?dchild=1&keywords=30mm+vm26&qid=1584753667&s=automotive&sr=1-26

Another option would be to open up and jet the stock carb.

As far as the clusters, you could get in contact with nzbrakelathes here on the forum and see what he has to offer. He sells some clusters and a bunch of other parts here on the site including jet kits for the stock carbs.
