I've been hoping for this. People are starting to see the potential for an aftermarket, cottage hop-up industry here in the United States.

Anyone with any bike running the Zongshen 169FMM motor...hit this guy up. I'm supporting his efforts, big time, just for showing the initiative. Hoping he becomes the next FMF or ProCircuit.

I've watch a few of his videos. Pistons and cams from the CRF230F will fit on these engines. I'm already looking at the Wiseco 11:1 piston and CRF150F HotCam for my X22R and will be porting the head. I should be able to get close to 25hp range. I think it would be great to offer it as a kit for those who are not real sure on what to get.

I've already ordered the piston, and have a DCR CRF230F cam on the way. My bike already had his recommended carb, and I've already done the rifle-bore and rejet on mine.

I would still buy his ported head outside of a kit, even if it costs me more, just to support his work. I think he's also making spring and valving kits for the KKE forks on the Orion RXB250, which I'll likely also be purchasing from him out of respect.

Carefull with part ordering with a 169FMM engine. A true 169 will have a 69mm bore and 17mm piston pin. Non-real ones are like the 166 engine with the 65.5mm bore and 15mm piston pin.

Here's the piston that works with the 166 engine which these are. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wiseco-4816M06550-Piston-Kit-Standard-Bore-65-50mm-11-0-1-Compression-CRF230F/382670730611?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

That is where things get really screwy...the motors are stamped as 169FMM, but have an actual bore of 65.5. The stampings on the cases no longer match the engine specs on many Zongshen mills.

What years or model of crf230f parts should I be looking for when sourcing parts for my Apollo 250rx?
