Just something I'm working on. Open for any and all criticism.

Trying to get them in order from cheapest to most expensive while highlighting the MAJOR upsell over the previous model(s). Work in progress...

TBR7 - Basic 250 Chinabike with a Honda clone motor. Based on the Honda NXR like most of these bikes, except for the Magician.

Magician - Frame is loosely based on the Yamaha Tricker with a lower seat height, but still uses a Honda clone motor.

Hawk - Heavier rear suspension, aggresive tires, bigger wheels, higher quality electronics, uses automotive style light bulbs.

Bashan/BSR - Pre-tuned and possible better initial assembly??? Some oddball variants have surprise upgrades.

Apollo DB-36 - OHC, USD forks, digi dash, heavier swingarm, improved chain adjusters, stainless exhaust.

Hawk DLX - EFI, USD forks, digi dash, stainless exhaust, 50 state emissions legal.

Brozz - Counterbalanced pushrod motor, USD forks, digi dash, improved swingarm, improved chain adjusters. Cheapest SuMo option at the moment. Remote start/alarm.

Orion RXB - OHC, reinforced frame, improved swingarm and chain adjusters, 520 chain, ¼-turn throttle, adjustable front/rear suspension. Overall higher quality and heavier duty than previous bikes. Dealer installed Nibbi option. SuMo add-on option.

TT250 - Counterbalanced pushrod motor. USD forks. Great initial assembly, good dealer support, good parts availability, good warranty, pre tuned, 50 state emissions legal, ready-to-ride. SuMo option.

SSR/GPX 250's - Cadillac Chinabikes. Comparable to Japanese bikes but cost 20% less.

That about sums it up, but there are a few models in between some of the categories, and one notable bike is missing, as well as the Magician is probably the cheapest here--for a reason. I would probably avoid the Magician altogether, whereas its stablemate from RPS, the Hawk 250 is tried and true. The engine is the same in both, but the Magician seems to have quality control issues everywhere else, notable the frame.

You should try to find a place for the Lifan X-Pect 200. Seems to be a solid bike although many are turned off by the standard forks and rear drum brake.

The SSR XF250 is apparently a high quality bike, but it is very rare. It is 50 state CARB certified, and has an oddball Suzuki based engine vs. the Honda-like engines found in all the other bikes. I believe it is identical to the Suzuki TU250, but uses a carburetor instead of the TU's fuel-injection. It is $3k. The Pitster/GPX bikes are a different animal as far as the enduro/dual-sport ones go. The others are pure dirtbikes, like the SSR dirtbikes.

I think it should be noted that the RXB 250 suspension is no longer Fast Ace. It appears one change they have made is that the suspension is now supplied by KKE. They also no longer list any of the specs for travel front or rear, although it is still listed as fully adjustable. I guess time will tell if the change altered some of the capability of the bike or not.

As a whole I think your list is pretty complete. The Hawk is pretty much the vanilla standard for a basic cheap Chinese dual sport. Good enough that it isn't bad, but needs a little owner correction here or there.

When I saw pictures of the 2020 TT250, it looked like it had the old sheet metal (shit) axel adjusters. That is why I went with a Brozz.
