According to the article at the link, CFMoto will begin to build the KTM 790 Adventure and Duke engine for sale throughout the world.
-CFMoto already builds the entire KTM 390 Duke bike that is sold within mainland China.
-CFMoto is building a new facility to manufacture its own big engine based on the KTM LC8 V-twin. The big mill will be used in Chinese police motorcycles.
-Not bad for a company that used to build Honda Helix clones.

CFMoto showed great promise when they released their 650 street bikes a few years back (the engine was based on a Kawasaki 650 used in the Versys if I am not mistaken). However, they reportedly had some issues, and they eventually yanked them from the US market. There was a guy, an ex-pat European living and working in China on Mychinamoto.com, who HATED Chinese bikes and ripped on them every chance he got whenever someone would join and ask what was the best Chinese bike to buy. Apparently, he had a CFMoto and it broke on him more than enough times to put a bad taste in his mouth. This was around the same time the bikes were having issues in the US and were pulled. Well, not long after, CFMoto fixed the issues and I am guessing, CFMoto gave him one or something, because he was singing their praises after that. He admitted to then having a respect for the bike. He even rode it from China to his European home, maybe Poland, and back to China with no issue! Of course, CFMoto never brought them back once they fixed the issues they had, which I feel is a shame as the lineup had a 650cc bike for a few uses, including a very handsome sport-touring bike, which I found interesting. However, they did continue to offer quality ATVs and UTVs here, so not all hope is lost for these new bikes you mention!

i have a cfmoto sxs. seems like they are fairly reliable and decently built. The one issue i see is them wiping out the rings out due to poor filtration causing dirt ingestion. They changed filter design but it was more of a band aid. I switched to a uni filter, might relocate the intake. other then that it has most of the trim of all the other Chinese utv's but so far no issues.
the bike looks good, would be interested in a test ride if we ever got them back in the states.

I looked at a few of the CFmotos over the years. One of my distant cousins was the canadian Rep for CFmoto. Sadly the local dealership that handled them treated the brand like a redheaded stepchild and hid them in the back.

There was a local CFMoto dealer in Katy, where I lived about 5 years ago. In addition to the Helix Clones, they sold the 250cc V3 and V5. They were nice looking bikes, but I think they had a tendency to overheat in the coastal heat.

The ssr 250 looks tempting. They have a 250 lc quad for $1199-1299 too. Anyone bought from them before?
