hawk 250 carb

Hello once again i have another question so today i got my jets for the vm 26 i put the 115 main jet in and i was wondering what happens to a carb when u mess with the needle shim? Do i need to mess with it at all? Im still waiting on my hawk 250 so i cant test anything was just getting things in order for when its here im barely above sea level ty once again:thanks: also i just figured out how to take the needle out its in the 3rd slot starting with 1 being the top or in the middle since there is 5 little notches should i just keep at middle?

So, where I started was the 4th down. So hold it like it goes in and count down to the 4th position. I also used a 110 and it seems more than good at my altitude of 945. But I don't have any mods yet. Only adjusted the valves.
