Pretty simple install with only minor inconveniences.

The exhaust flange that bolts up to engine needed to be slotted not drilled. The middle exhaust pipe bolt hole was off by an inch but the whole exhaust was tight regardless. The original muffler bolt hole was too far forward and I used what seemed to be an original or secondary bolt hole with the provided spacer. The airbox clearance was perfect. It was at least an inch away from it. No problems with clutch cabling either.

Really satisfied with the install. A wheeee bit pricey but screw it, someone had to do it, right? Oh. Yeah, it's loud.

Been done before actually, so has a couple other name brand crf230f exhausts. The flange always needs modifying, but the systems always fit way better than the cheap china exhausts most of us use. People shy away from the name brand systems because they are 300+ dollars.

I'm going to end up doing this so I can have a spark arrestor. The exhaust system will be cheaper than the fines if I get caught on the trails. The car customs sells an arrestor for thier tt250 system but it's not stamped with and approval nor is the can.

Was it the rs2 system for the Crf230?

I know that the ebay muffler is a copy of an Pro Circuit T4 muffler and that the factory cap also mates to the ebay muffler (my bike) AND an FMF silencer for their 4" mufflers can be added to the stock muffler outlet (pcspecialist) meaning they share the same 3 bolt pattern. Thread I made here on the cap thing. http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=22810

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to make either one of their screen inserts work. Example. https://www.procircuit.com/spark-arrestor-screen-07.html or https://www.procircuit.com/spark-arrestor-screen-duals-minis.html OR https://www.procircuit.com/spark-arrestor-screen-duals-minis-09.html

I was actually looking to combine one of those screens with one of their quiet inserts, modified for my end cap, to try and tone the bike down a bit without spending the bucks on a whole new muffler.

Any idea if those arrestors have the Forestry approval stamp on them? Pictures don't show since it's just from the backside. That's the problem with the one I got from car customs, sure it's approved by the Forestry service but the stamp is on the DG can it was built for so there is no proof.

The quit core would be a nice option. I don't mind a loud bike on road but I don't care for being overly obnoxious on trail.

Super nice install!

Also, the FMF Turbine Core 2 is a "stamped" USFS Approved spark arrestor. I run them on my stuff. Have to here in CA if you don't want to burn the dang place down annually.
