At WFO, the bike gets an occasional shudder, very small, like it is weakly hitting a rev limiter (this happens at 7500rpm on a bike with 400 miles, not fully broke in). It also does a funcky dance as I roll off. When I was racing, I was told if the bike picks up speed if you just roll off from WFO, you are too lean up top. I blindly went from a 102 to a 112 on my first rejet. Next jet I have is a 117. Try it?

Same thing happened to me the other day. Sure I would try the 117 jet, can't hurt anything. You might be in between for best jetting but you know it ain't the 112. Generally a 115 is right for exhaust mod engine. What is WFO?

My method for finding the proper main jet is to keep bumping up the main jet until I hit what I refer to as saturation point. When it is so rich the engine literally cuts out and bogs when you roll wide open. From there, I gerenally back off 5 points and it is pretty close to being spot on.

I try to convince people to not be afraid to experiment with main jetting if you have some good analogs to work with. In this case, every bike on the forum. Exhaust and intake mod, 115, Just an exhaust and otherwise stock, 110-112. Depending on altitude these might vary a couple of points. 117 at sea level might work better than a 115 which is fine for someone at say 2000ft.
