Hello everyone, I have had a hawk 250 since 2018 and I really like the bike, but I live in a very hilly area and do about all my riding on trails. The bike has a hard time climbing the hills here and it’s caused me to find my way back down a hill on my backside more than I’d like. I don’t really need the bike to go over 40 mph since I’m just riding trails. I have looked all over the place for a rear sprocket with around 56 teeth or more to put on the hawk but I can’t find one anywhere, so I’m hoping you guys could help me find a sprocket and chain combination to give me more torque

56 rear sprocket for 428 chain. https://www.amazon.com/JT-Sprockets-JTR269-56-Steel-Sprocket/dp/B000GU1K8K

Combine that with a 13 tooth front JTF259 sprocket and your top speed will literally be about 45mph. https://www.amazon.com/JT-Sprockets-JTF259-17-Steel-Sprocket/dp/B003172084/ref=pd_bxgy_2/135-4740812-0239811?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B004DNA0KA&pd_rd_r=0bac1f1c-2b2b-424d-95bf-d6e3db0aedd5&pd_rd_w=ep7FR&pd_rd_wg=bSjvC&pf_rd_p=4e3f7fc3-00c8-46a6-a4db-8457e6319578&pf_rd_r=F3FJWZG95B6EKX1KQAAD&refRID=F3FJWZG95B6EKX1KQAAD&th=1

You are probably going to need to add a few links to the chain, obviously.

If it were me, I would probably start with the 56 rear with the 15 front though. You can always drop or add a tooth or two up front as needed.

I actually have that sprocket but it doesn’t like up with the 4 bolt pattern on the hawk

It should. I ran jtr269 sprockets on my last Hawk. No reason why the 56 wouldn't also fit.

I think I see why it isn’t lining up. Looks like amazon sent me the wrong sprocket

Yeah, that's definitely the wrong sprocket.
