When you pull the oil drain plug, a spring and the screen will come out.

It depends on the bike. Most have a drain plug(bolt) on the bottom (underside) of the engine. In addition there is a large chrome nut on the front-left of the motor This contains the oil screen. Some people drain the oil from the screen housing but I prefer to do it from the bottom, then remove the cover to access the oil screen. Less mess.

Sorry, BigMitch I just ASSumed yours was the same as my Hi-Bird/Ricardo. I guess I shouldn't ASSume since I don't even know what your bike is...I'm sure one of these other guys will chime in with help...

Thanks guys.

One more thing, does anyone know what the rattling noise in the front of the bike might be when the RPMs are up, it does it driving or sitting and i cant figure out what it is.

Not the valves, it does it at a certain RPM and then comes out with more or less RPM.

Plastic rubbing/vibrating when reved up...oldschool singles can be like vibrators at high revs. ...could check some bolts?

Check the skid plate for rubbing on the frame or engine cases.
