rev_arb,

Aftermarket in what way?? For air intake use UNI or K&N. I modded my exhaust in the shop. I replaced all the engine mount bolts with grade 8 from Ace Hardware & Lowes. My back tire is a Pirelli. I upgraded and all the other bolts to high strength stainless allen bolts, again Ace Hardware. Don't think there is much more that can be done, maybe a badass paint job?? :P

So far I've found that these parts fit the GY Push Rod engine:

NGK DR9EA plug
Honda CRF 230 coil
Honda XR200 30mm Carb

Anyone else have any info to share?

Well I would like to make what ever improvements I can over time. So far I am just getting getting ideas on what Has already been done.

I know that it does need a little tweaking. But so far, so good.

Bataycan supposedly has lots of hop-up parts available, but some ppl on here have had problems - or so they say...who's to know?

The thing most done to my gy5 was wire loom and zap straps... originally a lot of wires and hoses were routed poorly and rubbing on sharp edges, I rerouted some, others simply got a good wrap of wire loom.

I also replaced my stock gy5 taillight with a 60diode led truck taillight... It was hard to miss seeing that.

Changed spark plug and motor mount, front fender, headlight fairing, grips, and hand guards.

Painted side panels to match.

I think that is about all I did to that...

So far my gy6 is stock, except for the luggage rack I added.

yea bataycan's ebay feedback is not that great and he is pretty new. He ships from the Philippines so it prolly takes awhile to get anything. I just ordered a pipe from him, sent him an offer and got a good deal, still waiting on it..

Jim,I really like that brake light.Did you have to run heavier gauge wire for that?

Where did you get that tail light from? How much? Part number? Make the mount yourself?

You should have read the forum. Expect 4-6 weeks for delivery. Took him 5 weeks to ship a cam to me. He has ripped others off here also. No names will be mentioned, unless they pop up.

No part number for the taillight, it is just a standard commercial truck LED taillight, every different brand has different led patterns, but the lens itself is the same shape, if it is that oval one anyways, you can get round, or whatever, but if you check at any local truck parts shop or dealer, such as peterbilt, kenworth, freightliner, etc they should have them... They also have the bracket for it... I just welded the bracket to the bottom of the luggage rack.

How much... well the led light is probably 20-30 dollars I don't honestly remember, they are sort of pricey, but not bad considering an led bulb for the normal brake light socket would cost that much and not work nearly as good... The bracket is only about 4 dollars.

No heavier guage wire, I didn't do any calculations or anything on how much power is used, but led's don't use much, so I figured it was fine as is, and I had no issues.

Diy tail light project

Yea, that looks easy! 8O I'd rather spend the weekend in a garbage can full of fire ants than to have to make that! $20-$30 for a light is well worth it.

although with that method you could make it to fit the lens, though the lenses on the stock gy5's, or at least the one I had was junk, I doubt the red color was actually sae/dot approved.

Any english versions of that info?

If had some basic electronics skill, very simple
Input the data in (input:14v type:super bright red /ma & volt drop: Search the datasheet) the wiz (http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz)
Solder it.
