Happy New Year's everyone. As we all have experienced 2020 was a rough year for most people. Between the Corona Virus, lost of love ones, lost jobs and me personally multiple hurricanes and tropical storms. The one thing that help make this year half way normal is this forum. We all were able to share our life experiences and help each other through the year. I'm so happy to be part of this group. Hopefully 2021 will be much better.
Everyone have a happy and safe New Year's. :hi:

I don't usually stay up for New Year's Eve, I figure the new year is coming whether I'm awake or not. I'm thinking that this year I may actually stay up just to make sure 2020 really does GTFO...

I sometimes reflect on the happy times exactly 1 year ago when 2020 was being ushered in we had no idea things could get so crazy. But the one thing that we always have and must continue to have is hope that things can and will get better!
I'm grateful for having this forum to share my current fun endeavors with and learn and share equally..
Keep the shiny side up and look forward to better days ahead!

I caught COVID last Saturday (at least when I felt ill), so I figure that if I survive new years, I won't die because 2020 is supposed to be the WORST year! If I don't make it into next year, sorry to ruin everyone's 2021 :lmao:

We are keeping my 16 month old grandson tonight. He already knows how to toast. He taps his sippy cup against our wine glasses.

I hate to go against the grain, but I've had a great 2020. I became a grandpa, got to spend extra time at home with family due to Covid, and have got to join this fine forum.
I look forward to 2021, but I've enjoyed 2020.

Happy New Year to everyone!

I'm hoping to make it until midnight. Almost didn't make it to six because of outside time with the grandsons but I got my second wind, powered by pizza.

Happy New Year to you all.

We did not stay up til local midnight. The fireworks started much earlier, any way.
-started the new year with our traditional greens and peas, today. Had a baked sweet potato and ham steak with it, too.

2020 took another shot at us last night ,my sons dog sliced both his rear paws on something ,vets were all closed so it’s an after hours emergency call in ,staples ,dressings ,no going outside ,no walking ,oh ,and he got a cone of shame !in 30 years of dogs ,Hootch has been the first to partake in the cone lol .I guess I should mention the $480.00 emergency call in ,and $300.00 for their services .Hootch generally gets 3 one hour walks a day ,we have a dog door for him so he goes in and out as he wishes ,and they had him stoned last night ,his eyes were as big as a horses !
I am glad to be done with 2020 .

We made it to midnight by binge watching a Finnish crime drama on Netflix called Deadwind. Actually pretty good.

Had to google, we got that by the name Karppi, never knew it got translated. Never watched it either as Nordic Noir isn`t really my thing but nice to know it`s out there.

I suppose Karppi may have been read as Krappi, hence the title change. It's shown with subtitles. As far as Nordic Noir goes, Mrs. C and I are both fans. Fallet is really good because it pokes fun at Nordic, British, and American crime shows. Also helps that the main characters are all screw ups.

I avoid most US television programs, myself. But we do have a Godzilla marathon going on the COMET network for New Years Day. Some real stinkers on there.:D

If you have access to it, I heartily recommend a series called the White Wall. Only seen a couple episodes so far but it feels quite intriquing.

I'm sorry the pooch got hurt yesterday. Things can only get better in 2021.
Any idea yet on what cut his feet? Dog feet are pretty tough.

Unfortunately we have found nothing yet ,there is a foot of snow ,blood all over it ,all along 150ft of fence line ,I honestly don’t think we will be figuring it out until spring ,so we will be putting up a fence inside keeping him much closer to the door and away from the big fence .He has already beaten the cone of shame ,he tore it off this morning lol .
