kiskstand

i was riding today and i heard a rattling my kickstand was dangling off thside the spring fell off has this happended to anyone else :?:

The same day the clutch/tranny/something stranded me for the last time on my Jetmoto--it was just coincidental, but still...

I haven't had that happen riding, but I did have it happen in the garage recently on my Sunl 125xt. I kicked the stand up to get the bike backed out of the garge and TWANG !!
It shot somewhere in the garage, finally to be found nesttled up to my Harleys' front tire on the opposite side of the bikes. It took a long time to find that Spring 8O .
I put her back on the bike, which is pain , and gave it a stronger tighter bend in the top curve of the spring where it attatches to the prong or post , and no problems thus far .
That must have been a real drag out riding with your kickstand dangling down catching everything as you rode ?
I hope you had tools , or Zip-ties in your bag of tricks out riding ?
Most Auto Stores have springs that will fit that, try there before you try to order one from the suppliers , you could be waiting for that part for months , and they will probably try to charge you for a whole new kickstand too .
