How much red bull did you have today ? Generally this forum is visited by older cheap guys that like riding ,tinkering and learning about cheap bikes ,no need to post incorrect crap on purpose ,nor is there any reason to post in every thread if you have nothing to actually add to it .I doubt anybody here gives a crap about showing up on google ,there is plenty of new people finding this site as it is .

I bet the sponsors give a crap.
This forum sometimes goes hours without a single post.
There are not that many new members.
You have an opinion.
Thanks for sharing.

It just takes time. It’s a super niche group. There are barely any people who have risked buying Chinese bikes because they used to really suck.
I bought mine thinking it would suck too.
Now I’m wondering if the generators are worth a go again and why the hell there isn’t a car yet! Ha ha.
Chinese junk was JUNK to me up until this random experiment. I have had a few Chinese things before and they were awful.
I mean I was trying to find some high quality Michelin tubes locally today. I asked a place if they had high quality like Michelin. She said “no, not Michelin. But we don’t have Chinese junk” which is kinda funny because my whole bike is Chinese junk. Ha ha ha. Wanted to say that but didn’t. But that’s still the perception.
It’ll take a while for people to realize the Chinese products like we own are different. That they have finally figured out how to make reasonable quality stuff.
The forum will grow only when there are lots more China bikes sold.

Don't post incorrect crap... Seriously. While there are many people who have experience, are older, and know the proper ways for doing things, even if they have questions, for every one of those guys there's 10+ noobs who don't know anything and giving them false info will lead to them being in danger of breaking things.
Think of this forum like the back yard of a neighbor... He's older, more experienced, and likes to help, but if your goal is to make increasing money off his advice, you'll get the cold shoulder really quickly.
This is a more quiet forum, which is how we prefer it, if you get 10x more people, it won't commensurately be 10x more experienced people, it will be 10x more noobs who are potentially a danger to themselves, and a certain level of noobieness is tolerable, but 10x what we've already got will mean myself and others won't have the time, energy, or desire to help everyone.
I'd ask you not to spam post, but I'm sure if you keep it up, the mods will warn you, and then ban you. More traffic =\= a good thing, just ask the US transportation infrastructure.

Not sure what you talking about because this forum is constantly growing everyday. 10 new members yesterday. This forum is more about experience members helping new china bikes riders with issues, questions and mods for the new bike. Lots of these so called noobies have learn a lot from this forum and have help others learn as well. Yes we would like to see people post more about subjects that are helpful. We do have a general discussion section that everyone post to about non china bike related stuff if someone wants to discuss your butterfly collection or whatever. As far as our sponsors, I know for sure they are happy with the way we run our forum. A good bit of there sales are generated from this forum as this is where most of the buyers learn about the bikes before buying.
So as your Thread states, please post away and feel free to share. Just post in the correct section and accurate information.

If you want to get people posting just post up something about "oil" or "gas octane"... it's like religion and politics around here. Lol

I like the forum the way it is, and was a long time reader before joining. It's important to remember that it's not just us the members here, there are a lot of quiet members and unregistered people that rely on this site. Making it viral will never beat the quality of organic users.
Best way to keep it efficient for us, and the outside audience is to stay relevant and on topic.
Anyway, I still think this is a great thread because it shows direction, purpose and appreciation with each members feedback.
Just love, no hate from me, just saying my opinion.

Very well said! Also, i think its in all of our best interests for things to not get out of control and go viral.. else the distributors will catch on as they probably have to this point and start jacking prices up even more.. the whole draw and beauty is when i get to say that i paid a fraction of the cost of buying a name-brand equivalent bike with dirt cheap parts/mods.

No body likes post whores. If you've got nothing worthwhile to contribute, get out of Mom's basement, get a real job, and live life. Quality is always better than quantity

No body likes post whores.
That's simply not true.
Forums thrive on traffic.
There is enough experience here to correct a misinformed post.
Misinformation presented in an environment of experts has a way of bringing out LOADS of correct information.
I am zero percent concerned about bad info standing for more than a post or two here.
The important thing in a social media platform is for it to be inviting and for people to be social.
Gatekeeping isn't indicative of a supportive community. Talking like only a few experts should post or like things should never experience progress is silly and it keeps more people than you might think from ever posting once.
P.S. The "moms basement" thing is played out. Some people understand capitalism and some people don't. Hard labor as a cog in someones money machine is for suckers. Stop glorifying a broken back for pennies. Living in the woods is easier.

"Nobody likes post whores".
Correct, and intentional disinformation is toxic and potentially life threatening, just ask the US political system.
Even if there are experts around, what happens if a guy is working in a shed, waits for the first response, and then goes to town, workout consulting the forum again?
You're apparently a papered Kawasaki tech, correct? If you did a job incorrectly on a bike so that the customer would have to come back and talk with the dealership more, what would that make you, morally? How long could you do that before you're sent packing, in a job where inattention to detail, much less intentional mistakes, could cost someone their life?
Gatekeeping is indicative of a healthy community if the gate is keeping unhealthy elements out. I don't think one has the moral authority to complain about gatekeeping if they're on their third profile in a week because the other two have been banned... If it keeps you from posting irrelevant drivel or arguing with/insulting unnecessarily, gate keep away!
There's people on here who have been here for 15+ years and manage to still follow the rules and not be a dick, and they also post things that are relevant to the cause, so to speak.
Maybe it would be better to join a bigger forum where more things can be posted/happen so that it can better capture your attention.
Advrider has a section called Jo Momma where I'm convinced you would fit right in, as well as CSM... Insult away, there.

Sorry, had to lock this thread down before it gets too far out of hand.:ohno:
DohcBikes, I'm not sure why you think this forum needs help. The sites been up since 2006 and has been running fine. We have over 13,000 members and at any given time there are more than 300 non members viewing the web site. I know I for one searched the forum for months before joining. Posting misinformation to stimulate conversation only leads to argument like these and yes the dreaded oil threads. And yes no body like post whores. The majority of the people that come here are here for help and information on, You got it, China bike, ATV,s and so on. The main reason I join this forum was because of the drama free environment and very helpful members. It's not cluttered up with unrelated information. I've been a member on quiet a few forums in my life time. Most the ones I have left were because there was always someone on there arguing or cutting down other members because they asked a simple question on something they didn't know about. You won't find that here and we intend to keep it that way.
If you feel the need to change the way the forum is ran then please feel free to start up your own forum and run it the way you want.
