Hey what's up guys, so I inspected my old helmet and while it's visually in decent shape, it was manufactured in 2012. So it's going to get replaced, especially for everyday use.

I'm liking the Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS helmets, it's difficult to find one in stock anywhere that isn't all black or all white. However, I can find a few good deals on the Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS snow helmet. The only difference is the shield and some wind blocking that as far as I can tell can be removed.

I'm not needing, nor really wanting the electric shield, and if I buy a second shield I'm up to the price of the regular adventure anyway.

My question is, has anyone used these helmets, do the electric heat strips at the top and bottom of the shield intrude into FOV? Can the be removed?

I can save about $50 and get some nice colors/graphics by going with the snow version, my only hesitation is the shield.

Well, I guess I'll let you know how it goes cause I figured I'd better just buy it. I can always replace the visor and sell the electric one.
