Hello all,
New to this forum and hoping to find some answers. About two weeks ago I bought my almost 13 year old his first dirt bike, a BMS 125 Pro Premium, and at the same time bought my bike, the Apollo AGB-36C 250. Both were new when I bought them. Got it home and I rode it a couple times, just around the dirt lot near my house and the second time I did, all at once the bike died on me so I had to stop and the only way I could get it to start was by kick start rather than the electric start. After that, all was fine so I figured it was just a hiccup or maybe I had done something wrong while riding. Starting it didn't seem to be an issue and I rode it again, again nothing too harsh, just putting around the dirt lot until I got my helmet and stuff. I took it out the other day to go on a short ride and the bike just will not start at all. I'm pretty new when it comes to dirt bikes as the only one that I've ridden was a friend of mine's and that was years ago, and I certainly haven't really wrenched on one before. What things do I need to check out? I checked the spark plug and I couldn't see a spark, so first thing in the morning I'm going to get a new spark plug. In the meantime, what things can I check? Thanks for any advice you guys might have!

check your fuses, check your grounds, check your battery connections.

China bikes are notorious for not having everything buttoned down from the factory.
Go over the bike and tighten every nut, bolt and electrical connector. Riding on the dirt shakes stuff lose.

Hey krat, I actually found the issue and haven't been able to get on here given I took it for a ride and then went out with my son who promptly dumped his bike and I had to repair his clutch lever. Where the spark plug wire comes out of the module, the bottom wire is actually sitting on the bracket that has the plastic louvres on it for the air cooling and it must have wiggled loose. I started checking connections while trying to start it and of course as soon as I touched it the bike fired right up! Hopefully this isn't more of an issue and I can keep going! Thank you for all your help!
