I'm not sure that would be competitive, even against a modern 250F. The YZ250F is much lighter with only 10hp less, and better suspension and chassis. It would be interesting to see someone race one, but even the GPX450 would probably leave it in the dust.

This bike is low end geared and Japanese bikes are all top end geared so sure :shrug::p
