Hi all,

I have an upcoming 5000 mile charity trip planned on my Jincheng Chaly 125.
I know that this is possibly the stupidest idea I could have had but Im after advice on what bits to change to keep me going as long as poss. straight off the bat I'll be changing the chain and air filter, possibly rear shocks.

Can you think of any cost effective upgrades I should be thinking of.

Sprocket change for a higher gear ratio to lower the rpms for highway speeds and an Oil cooler.

Aside from my comments about lots of pain killers, I really am a little envious that you're going to do a trip like this. Please keep us posted.

Wheel bearings. Check, add grease, or replace if needed. Preferably done under the influence of Alieve or Advil! Just kidding! Good luck!

No real need to change or modify anything.

It's going to blow up on day three anyway!

Go to You tube and do a search of "Nathan the Postman". He rode a Honda CT110 from Australia to England, then rode the same bike across the U.S. He still had one good nerve left in his butt so he rode it to Alaska.

You could probably do the same on a Cub clone.

Cheers for the responses, I'm more than aware that I'm gonna be in tatters after it's done.

Big fan of Nathan Millward and Ed March. Hoping to get a bit more than 3 days out of her tho.

In what part of the world are you located Nobby?

What is you expected route? Some of us might be able to ride with you for a few miles or set up a rest point on the route.
