i've had a Roketa DB-05 for a couple of years now, and i've been fairly satisfied with it

now I'm thinking about getting a 150CC scooter...i just started doing research, but i've seen comments in several different places about staying away from Roketa scooters…why is that?

i'm looking for a modern sporty looking scoot, and want to spend no more than $1,200

i've found some Roketas that look like what i'm looking for (like the MC04), but if buying Roketa is not advised, i've also found a Tank (Urban Racer) that looks good

can anyone recommend some brands/models and/or online sellers i should look into?

Go with the roketa before the tank.

I don't know much about the scooters, but the roketa you will probably find parts for and the tank you will not.

Wildfire has some great scooters. One 150cc model has 13" wheels instead of 10" like most do. They are out of Ohio.

Check out ATV Discounters, they have several dealers in Texas. Right now they have a 250cc for sale at $1500, but they have many 150cc scoots too... well under the price you quoted.

i've been doing some research over the past few days, and i think i'm going to spend a little more and get a Lance GS-R, ~$1,400.

i'm also considering a Strada RX-150 or Vento Phantom (R4i)

will hopefully pull the trigger on one this week :D

i'm a tank dealer as well as kazuma ,hensim, jcl, redcat, sunl, roketa, and they all at times have parts finding problems.

but if you go with a commen scooter that all the above company sell 95% of the parts will interchange so look hard.

and go with a local dealer for surport & parts.
