I thought it might be be time to arrange a date and time for the most members possible to be on as the site population has exploded since '06.

10pm Eastern, 9pm central, 8pm mountain, 7pm pacific.

The rest of you need to figure it out on your own.

Like Arizona. They don't change the 2 times a year so it's confusing when i'm out there.

We tried this last year, but the data based time window was reset from an Hour to the past 5 minutes, which it is at today.

http://chinariders.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=942&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=gmt&start=90

I don't think any records are going to get broken unless the data is switched to an hour.

From February 27 2007:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Culcune said: "I couldn't imagine that 44 of us were on at once, in November of all months!"

I believe back in November when the record was set, the data was based on users active over the past hour. Somehow it switched to 10 minutes before we tried to break the record and sometime while we were trying it switched to its current setting:

"This data is based on users active over the past five minutes"

I'm not sure how this time frame is set. If its an automatic setting that decreases as membership increases or if someone arbitrarily sets it at their discretion. Back in November when it was based on an hour it would be easy to hit 44. Based on 5 minutes we may have to wait till there is a whole lot more members.

Frostbite may have an issue with this in regards to bandwith or crashing the server I dont know.. but 5 minutes won't break 44. If you just have your browser on this site, it doesnt mean you are counted as active.

I'm game, let's just give an appropriate notice, say 2 to 3 weeks to rally all members together and let frosty iron out what ever kinks there may be...
