10w40 oil?

I just ordered a new hawk 250 cuz my friend convinced me I have oil from when I had a grom. Full synthetic honda gnc4. Would that be fine to replace the oil with at the beginning I'm at sea level and will be dailying then throughout the year.

For a new engine use a non-synthetic oil for break in preferably an oil with a high zinc content like Rotela T4.
