Back to this POS TaoTao 125. It now hasn’t run in about a month, no spark. It quit while driving. Coil tested bad, no continuity from either pole to the wire end. Replaced coil, no change. Checked for volts at the plugs for the coil, no voltage while engine spinning over, swapped CDI with a known good one, as well as Voltage regulator with a known good one. Tested stator and found bad. Remove cover and stator smelled burnt. Replaced stator/pickup, no change. Bypassed all kill switches, no change.

I’m about ready to just throw this damn thing away because all components with ignition system test good, it should spark but doesn’t.

What am I missing here?

Have you replaced the spark plug, sometimes they just quit.

Yessir, has a Ducar plug in it.

Sounds like a short to ground, which would explain the cooked stator. All that’s left is the wire harness.

the first thing to check....normally .... is the black and white kill wire at the cdi... put test light end on positive battery post... witj key OM.. touch that wire.... if light is on the test light .. THEN SOMETHING IS KILLING the spark... remove that wire from plug... and see if you have spark... EASIEST thing to do first... and then go from there... you have many problems as you stated... about the stator... so this is NORMALLY.. when things are godd.. report back

Test light did not come on. Depinned that wire anyway to test, still no spark.
