I have a feeling I might be the only one.. What I did was make the mistake of buying Nibbi PWK 30 Race series carb instead of the PE30 carb that everyone ugrades to. Not knowing the Nibbi PWK is a race carb and a completely different animal. It is MUCH larger both in the outside height of the carb itself but more importantly the diameter of the intake and engine side! The regular upgrade is 30mm engine side and 35 airfilter side.. you can still slide the boots over it..The racing carb is 40mm engine side and 55mm airfilter side!! Yes you read that right it's a MONSTER. So it's IMPOSSIBLE to connect to the boots but fortunately enough the boots on this bike use extra thick boots unlike jap bikes so I was barely able to dremel out the inside of each to accept the oversize carb even then you still have to use a little grease to help stretch.
Anyway I also mated it up with a really nice Bel Parts race series exhaust system that deletes the stock cat converter and also adds a power bomb expansion chamber.
When I got all done I fired her up expecting it to run a little ruff requiring a bit of turning. But it fired up immediately and it actually ran like a MILLION BUCKS! It SREAMS! I don't have much to compair it to other then a Lifan 250 China bike I use to have that was VERY slow and underpowered and review videos I have seen of the new EFI Lifan 6 speed that also seems really slow and underpowered. I also own a new EFI KTM 500 EXC with exhaust and tune. This feels a lot more like a DRZ 400 then it does a 250. Maybe the X Pro is just underrated in power or the mods make a REALLY big
difference idk. But I do think I am the only one. It was extremely difficult to stuff it in there and fit.
I also have a wideband 02 with guage and I am going to put it on very soon and use it to see what AFR I am at and to further tune it to squeeze every drop of power I can.

Nice. There's not much room in there, so must have been a challenge!
I wonder what it would be like with a high duration cam, ported head, and a variable adjustable ignition advance?

Yes, it was VERY difficult to get it to fit in there. I do want to do more work after seeing the power potential! I assume there is somewhere to match up a high compression piston for it at least! That question was going to be my next post.
I would have to find out the piston size if somone knows and match something up.
It would probably be hard to find a cam for it unless maybe you could buy a stock one then sent it off to a cam place like comp cams. They can weld on more material then grind it down! With just the big carb and exhaust the thing is a BEAST. I need to at e least get a high compression piston and I think this thing would be a real animal!! The engine is soooo much smoother then my old Lifan 250 as far as not having an vibration even at high rpm. It also feels like it has doubble the power of my old Lifan. That thing was really underpowered having to downshift going up big hills in 4th or 5th gear lol..

They are a 72mm bore I think. Another option would be to swap in a PR300 engine. Same bottom end, but already has the bigger piston(75mm) and some versions have a 4 valve head. Might even be cheaper...

You can purchase a big bore kit from AliExpress that makes it equivalent to the PR300 engine. That’s what I did with my PR250/ZS172fmm.

They also have a 4 valve head for this that you can purchase, but I’ve had a hard time sourcing that on AliExpress.

OEM 72mm bore to 74mm bore results in 16cc increase in displacement, not even close to a 50cc increase.
https://spicerparts.com/calculators/engine-displacement-calculator
I got the OTOM kit. 265cc
Here is the post:
https://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?p=400872&highlight=OTOM#post400872
265 is better than 249, and in combination with other mods probably significant overall, but don't be fooled into thinking that this is a 300cc kit like I was!
I will do many modifications at once, including this one.

I would love a link/part number for the exhaust you used!!!

About how much power would I pick up going to the PR300 engine with the 4 valve head? Would it be like oh it seems a little faster or would it be fairly significant..?? I am really close to pulling the trigger if it's going to be a very noticeable power difference

Go on Amazon it's the CRF 250L exhaust for $100. It does require some light massaging and welding to make it fit properly but its very easy for somone who can MIG weld.

Also thinking about this 450cc bad boy...
I wouldn't mind modifying the frame mounts if I need to..

Idk. The gentleman above said 31, if so, that's an impressive increase from 19...
I do imagine it comes in mostly at higher revs and lower rpm torque would not be changed all that much.

If it's putting out 30 that would be a really big upgrade in power. I also am thinking about the watercooled 450cc I posted above. Should be around 55ish hp!! The head might be too tall for the frame and require cutting and rewelding

Did you order one of those 450s thru Alibaba?
Kamax has a 2 stroke 250 I toyed with ordering. I had problems with AliExpress vendor over a cylinder head and decided that the combination of shipping cost, shipping risk, and potential reimbursement fail was just too much on a crate bike from somewhere in mainland China. AliExpress backs the vendor in a dispute, even with photos. Then removes emails promising shipping credit. It' is Alibaba, but I think it's basically the same thing.

You can get these intake boots to fit your bigger carb inlet very inexpensively on Temu. FYI.

Is you top speed now higher? Or is it just quicker acceleration?

What model and year are the plastic on the standard Templar 250 thank you.
What model and year are the plastic on the standard Templar 250 thank you.
I believe the plastics from 2007-2009 Suzuki RMZ250 are a direct fit. Some minor trimming is to be expected with any aftermarket plastic kits.
Edit: this is for the X model, I am not sure which bike fits the base model but my guess would roughly 10yr old KTM's.

The nibbi pwk 30 is a great carb. I put it on my titan 250. Made a huge difference even more so with a cam and other mods. I had quite a time stuffing it in there but we'll worth it. I had to cut the mounting flange off the manifold on the carb side and weld on a piece of aluminum pipe. I didn't have good results with the nibbi boots. They didn't hold up to vibration. I ended up cutting a small piece of heavy duty radiator hose from a diesel forklift. The kind that looks spiral wrapped on the outer wall. Nobody will miss it.:hehe:

For a 300, a pe32mm or PZ32 is more than enough, unless it's an overhead cam engine with 10+k rpm.
