On Friday on the way to work, my Shineray suddenly got very loud! I thought I had lost my tail pipe but it was to dark to check. When I got to work I found that I still had the tail pipe but the outlet hole at the end of the tail pipe was missing! It has cracked off betwwen the 4 x 6mm holes I had drilled a few months back - OK 8,000km back!

So on Sunday, I pulled off my stock noisy pipe and with a bit of cutting and welding, fitted my new pipe. I looks and sounds pretty dam good.

The interesting thing is that the bike starts easier and idles with the choke on which it only did with the stock air filter and exhaust. I still have my pod type air filter which does help it rev up quicker and have removed the AMR Stage 2 CDI and gone back to stock.

Seems, I didn't see much of a performance increase with the Stage 2 or the Stage 3 or at least nothing that I could tell. They just made it harder to start and idle!

I'll take a photo of the new muffler and upload it tonight.

Sorry but when I got home last night, it was to dark last night for me to take some pics of the old and new tail pipe. I'll try again today!
