Tail Light Issue Please Help

Hi,

I have a Roketa DB-05. The tail light does not go on when I turn on the lights but the light does go on when I step on the back brake. I took the bulb out and when I screw it back in both filaments within the bulb light up when I am screwing it in. When it is fully screwed in the light does not stay on. Please help this is all I need to get my inspection sticker.

check your fuses.

Check the wiring going to the socket. It sounds like both of the circuits are connected to the brake light switch.

Take a look up top for the wiring diagram sticky.

With the bulb removed, use a test light to see if the two prongs inside the socket get juice when they are supposed to. If they do, then it's gotta be a bulb issue. If not, start tracing the wiring back to the switch.

Thx red2003 and everyone for the help. I checked the prongs and they were getting juice. I ran down to the local auto parts store and bought a new bulb which solved the issue.
