hi all and hoping anyone can assist, I have a china quad for my grandson, couple weeks just died, since then it seems no spark so to date replaced the CDI box, coil, regulator, spark plug, done lots of checks and what I have is

from the 5 wires out of the motor, one is ground, two go to regulator so charging, one wire is putting out 70 volts AC which is going to the CDI box the other nothing for voltage.

CDI box one goes to coil, one sees the 72v ac at a loss re the other 3 wires.

all checks for continuity for ground is good, the kill switches are working and do not appear to be the issue.

looks like the power for the spark does not come from battery but the motor stator.

where would one suggest going from here? buy another one?

if this is not the right area to post please advise

If you're grounds are good and you've already replaced the CDI and coil it's likely the stator.

Stators are cheap and pretty easy to replace. You'll need to pull yours to match up with what you need. VMC is a good place to check them out.
