Hello everyone. I'm new to the China bike scene but just ordered one. It is a Viva VX200SX-H. I guess it is the newer model out as I could not find any information about it on here or Google.
It appears to have dual exhaust and alloy parts. Here is a link and I'll post the build when I get it. I ordered it from atvsimports.com
Here is a link to the bike.

Anyone have any experience with this bike model?

Others have vivas, but I don't remember seeing that exact model. It appears to be a GY2 styled plastics, but the engine looks alittle different and it does appear to have aluminum wheels.
Overall looks like a nice bike. The seller has an OK rating here.

Plan on a rear sprocket change. It has a 56T in the pic. That enine looks like it may be a suzuki. I see a filter cover on the lower right.

Hopefully I will be able to register it for the roads. If not, no big deal as I'll get an ATV plate on it. I want it mostly for the seasonal use highways and trails up north.

I think that NY has been one of the hit or miss states. Depends on where you live and who you get at the tag office.
Do a search in the registration issues forum. Someone just tagged theirs in NY.

AllenAre the suzuki based engines any good?
I might not need a sprocket change if this ends up being a dirt "only" bike. :?

It's basically a Shineray without the adjustable reservoir rear shock and vented gas cap- from what i can see.
Same steel frame as most other GY bikes.
Be sure to ask the dealer to add the FMVSS statement to the MCO, if the bike qualifies and the signed mileage statement.
I just got the new MCO from them with those included and HOPEFULLY the WV MVA will approve my VIVA for registration.

Well I got the confirmation in the email that they received my order. I waited for them to call and they never did. I tried calling them and the number is busy. The 800 number is not in working order.
So I looked on tracking number and it says the order is cancelled.
Oh well. Now I need to find a seller with the Shineray.

I finally got through to a woman. I told her that the order was cancelled and was wondering what had happened. She said hold on and after a minute the phone went to voice mail.
In my opinion she was very unprofessional. She answered the phone by saying "Hello" instead of "XYZ Company, how can I help you?" Also she never told me I was being transferred.
I wish I spoke to DesertDog earlier and stayed away. :(

This is essentially the Shineray speedee that a bunch of guys ordered about a year or so ago. All liked it, but theirs did not have a brake light. Shineray does not have an official importer in the US, but will sell container loads of bikes in. Viva used to use a different OEM, and their bikes didn't seem to hold up as well as others' GY200's, so their move to Shineray should alleviate this problem.
As far as this company, I have a feeling they are too busy for their own good. Not that they were a great company to begin with (mixed results), but now with gas prices, there must be many people ordering alternative transportation--hence the crap customer service. I hope you don't have too much hassle with them!

that sucks man, I hope that this seller dies an untimly death of chronic jock itch!!!
Can we make a sticky of good people/business to buy the bikes from? I dont like to hear of things like this and there is plenty of good china bike dealers that will suffer from the bad reputation scammers make for them.

Called and left messages on voice mail. The answering machine states that the office will be closed until Wednesday. So I guess I will have to wait.

I think your bike will show up, but the lack of communication is one of the reasons people warned you. Oh, well. Just have patience, and/or contact the California attorney general.

I'm guessing Roketa must be now, since the last two that I got weren't rebadged with Roketa but just had the Shineray placard.

For the update.
They did return the money to my account. I also found out that they folded up shop or something. None of their websites seem to be working.
Oh well.
Anyone know where I can get a nice Shineray?
