Filled tank, but fuel pump seems to run for several seconds before stopping. Do I need to bleed something or Pressurize the tank to blow out a bubble somewhere? Like a Diesel?

hAhAh!!! I got NAILED by the Engine Kill Switch!! How many times has Lifan answered the phone with the EKS being the issue?? Shouldn't the kill switch be a MOMENTARY switch instead of a Lock ON/Lock OFF. The bike is awesome.. driver needs help..

It has to bite you in the ass a FEW times before it becomes one of the things you add to your routine. It might help to create a checklist:

1. Tire pressure
2. Chain
3. Petcock
4. Key in ignition
5. ENGINE KILL SWITCH
6. Lights

My hand usually goes from key in ignition to kill switch, but not always.

Still, never had this problem back in the day. Shouldn't the engine kill switch be MOMENTARY? Also, Why do I have to be in Neutral to start? The KPX has a clutch switch, why isn't clutch in good enough to engage the starter? PITA to restart at a light.. Anybody agree? Is there a way to Fake Neutral with Clutch in switch? Again, I don't remember this sloppy logic back in the day. The starter is so weak anyway.. who cares what gear or clutch status when starting. Old fart here, go easy on me!

On the Templars you need to push the brake pedal (or pull front brake) to start. If it is in neutral, no need for clutch.

Oddly, the Paladin doesn't even need brake push!

But both have a kill switch. It is a switch, not a button, so you have to toggle it back to "ON" to have ignition powered.

Not sure about the KPX.

On the 2024 KPX 250 I own I don't have to be in neutral to start. 1st gear clutch pulled in and starts right up. 1st gear clutch out and starter engages...caught it before started but I have a feeling it would have started if I didn't stop it in time. About the EKS. What good would it be if it was only momentary? It's colored red and there for emergency use and locks in so after killing your engine you can use both hands to handle the emergency situation. I use the key to turn off when parking but I always check the EKS before starting.
