View Full Version : Sumoto 200 Cyclone
I just got a new 200cc Sumoto Cyclone atv, it is 2wd, liquid cooled...
Here's some pictures from uncrating and assembling it, I'll be posting up some pictures from my first ride on it shortly.

Specs on it can be found here:
http://www.coasttocoastmotorsports.com/cart/biggy.cfm?dapic=16345 (note: the specs say it is air cooled but they are incorrect)
I don't have much atv experience but it seems to be good quality, and it is a lot of fun... The instrumentation is digital and very cool, in the dark it is lit up blue... The bike has all the equipment that would make it street legal if that was possible here...
I got it from www.coasttocoastmotorsports.com and their list price at this time is $1899 (freight and pdi extra, Coast to Coast is inside Canada)

not a bad looking bike, dump the mirrors and it will look even better
Thanks, yeah I think for now I will keep em, till I roll it on them and bust em, I'm just used to mirrors on everything and it had em..

I tell ya' having mirrors would be nice when I go out for a ride with the wife or whatnot.
Looking at the deflated tires, they look a heck of a lot softer that on either my GIO or ZMC. I mean, even deflated, they hold up the atv! Softer tires wouldv'e been nice.... :)
Jim-- Is that a Nash Metropolitan in the background?

I mentioned it on the other thread, but more appropriate here--keep the mirrors, and send the MSO to me, and I will register it here in Arizona for you, since you have all the street legal equipment. It won't be too out of place considering all the snowbirds that come from Canada--just blame it on them

I also noticed the metropolitan. Don't see them much.

Jim your pics take forever to load on dial up, I still don't know what a Nash metropolitan is????

If I remember right, they go "beep, beep"
And are very difficult to get out of second gear.... :D

I thought ramblers went beep beep?
N2R, sorry about that, I didn't think they still made dial up ;) ;)
Culcune, I don't have an mso for it... I have one for my gy6 though that I didn't use....
Kato, no, they are just good to me so I try to return the favor, plus if anyone is interested in the atv they can easily see where it's from :)

Roadrunners go beep beep.
Nash metropolitan is a little car built in the 50s? or 60s? I don't know exactly.

I was just thinking of the song about the little nash rambler, I think it went beep beep in the song

I was. I ooopsed. "Little Nash Metrpolitan" would have never fit in the song... My apologies-- Nuked back, now have good, good meds. Not super smart today though...

I forgot to mention, also having the watermark of the company I got it from prevents my picture from ending up on one of their competitor sites

I think Jim got a free ATV.....That's Payola....
Where's my cut. I'll take a motard. I'll do a review and post pics too....
I wish. Like I said, if I watermark the images they won't end up on someone else's website like in the past.
In case anyone was wondering, this is what the instruments look like, the gear is normally indicated in the top left, I think it isn't there because the quad wasn't running, not sure...

That's awesome! I am thoroughly jealous! Beats the heck out of my motorcycles even!

Thanks Vince :)
Here is the new taillight we mounted up... We took off the original and also cut off the license plate bracket and welded the bracket for this one up there. I cut the plug off the end of the stock taillight and connected it to the "pigtail" with the plug for the led, with shrink tube connectors, extra shrink tubing, wire loom, and zip ties... There's no way the wires on this will be an issue and if the bulb goes it's an easy change. It's a 50 diode bulb you would get on a commercial truck or trailer, and also the same kind I had mounted on my gy5 before I sold it.

While the instrument cluster is neat, you'll bust it within a couple of hours if you ride even somewhat aggressively. They'd be great for the street but branches and rollovers will take a nasty toll.
I'd see if you can connect it to your GY-6

wanna lay bets on when the mirrors go ?
I dunno, the instrument cluster is pretty sturdy, I think it would hold up as well as the gy5 one... I also asked before I bought it and apparently a replacement is only around $30 or so...
The mirrors will go when I break them :P or when they rattle off because I never properly tightened them...

or u lay over after attemtimg a jump/hill/or ditch
That was the "I break them" part... If I'm not going to use them I don't need to worry about breaking them so I might as well use them till they break and then not worry about them... right?
Mirrors gone, maybe they'll end up on the lifan bike, dunno...

06-29-2008, 08:59 PM
YEAH! Where's the helmet?!
I only went out there to fire it up for a quick 5 min run around after changing the oil and wasn't planning on actually using it much, just some putting around, and got carried away... Usually I do wear my helmet (as seen in the video)....
I know, I know...

lot can happen in 5 minutes. shame shame. jk
Well this time I had the helmet on... I do need some goggles though.
We had a machine over to do some work, and I ended up doing some, I did fine unloading the concrete lock blocks, but I didn't do a very good job at the fine details, cleaning off old hog fuel, I went to deep and not very level. I lack the finese of a good, experienced operator, anyways, after I was done, the real operator cleaned things up and also built us a little "track" type area to play with....

There is still our smaller jump I built with a shovel just past the edge of this picture, but he put in those two other ones, the medium and large, and behind the large there is a banked corner...

It's just after you come down off this one.
