Need help with templar 250 brakelight

Hello i have purchased a templar 250 and owned it for a few weeks but im having a problem with the tail light being on but not getting brighter once i hit the brakes this happened after i was riding and the cables came disconnected, after reconnecting them i encountered this issue.

On mine the first time it happened was because the tire hit the wires under the fender. I changed the way they ran a little and secured them better.
The second time was like described in the Templar main thread where the brake light wire came loose inside the taillight assembly itself and I had to resolder it.
