OMG the chain tensioner sucks on my 2016 Hawk 250.

Can anyone recommend and upgrade and point me in the right direction to get it on the web…?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
Jon

Hah, what chain tensioner.

I assume TCalYen is referring to the rear tire bolt? Or the spinning disk to gauge both sides?

Either way they work fine, it's probably just the chain stretching or the rear bolt isn't tight enough.

Chain guide? The chain guide blocks sticks/branches from getting caught between the sprocket and chain. There is no teflon roller like a chain tensioner has.

This is what I am talking about.

Just came here to say, the tensioner on my Storm 250 also SUCKS!

It makes me want to hit it with a wrench.

Chain is constantly coming loose because the tensioner bolt doesn't thread into anything, and just flops around the swing arm. It relies on the tension between the block and the adjustment nut, but to get it tight you have to over tighten the chain.

There has to be a better way. (Insert banging head into wall emoji)
