Hey all, we got my son a TM06 by trailmaster and I could not get it to run right at all. I swapped over the the nibbi style carb for it and although it runs much better it's hard to keep it running until it's fully warm and it just seems to fall all over itself. Does anyone have experience with these and where your starting point is for jetting? I feel like I have the air screw out and excessive amount just to keep it running so it makes me think I'm way too rich.

Post a few pics of the carb, if you have the AIR turned way out, you are leaning the mixture. If it is a FUEL screw, turning it out richens the mixture. Pics will help tell us which type it is.

Here is a picture of what I ordered. Has an idle screw where the slide is and either the fuel or air screw to the front of it

Try using a baseline setting to start with, so you can return to where you started without much issue. I usually suggest setting the AIR screw 1.5 turns OUT from seated. Set the jet needle clip in the 3rd (middle groove), that gives you 2 adjustments richer or leaner on the needle for fine tuning. Make sure the air filter is clean and properly oiled with foam filter oil yo keep dirt and dust out of the engine.
BTW, what size is the carb?

Carb is a 19mm. Right now I'm at like 3 turns out on the screw and the needle and jetting are what it came with so I need to tear it down and order some jets, I was just curious if anyone had any experience on jetting these little bikes
