This is my first bike and so i cant compare it to other bikes to give an indepth review. I havent had it long enough to open up the engine for a closer look either. When i do open it up, ill comment on it. So far it runs well.
This bike is basically an Apollo Z20 with headlight. Im not sure if it has a different stator to run the headlight or if its the stock yx125 stator. it comes with a rectifier to connect the light. Headlight is dim because output is only 9v. Once i get a chance to open up the engine to check out the stator, ill post more details about it.
The throttle has a throttle limiter which is good for preventing new riders from whiskey throttling.
Muffler doesn't come with a baffle nor a spark arrester. The muffler cap is riveted on making it harder to put in a baffle.
The bike is easy to start. The bike usually start up with a kick, two at most. I live in 63 degrees fahrenheit, and it likes to start with the choke off. Not sure if jets are clogged or what. Havent had a chance to look. Its a possiblity because there was dried fuel on tank cap. Theres lots of resistence when kicking, sometimes ill be in the air with a foot on the kick start lever.
The metal gas tank has a flawed design with its mount point. Because of this, it is not able to sit flush with the mounting on the frame. Theres been comments about the tank breaking because of this. The venom thunder came with extra grommets which i was able to fit between the mountings to try to mitigate this issue.
Its a big bike with a seat height of 33.5 inch. It could possibly easily fit a 190cc engine.
Swing arms doesn't have indicators for chain adjuster.
The wheels could use some truing. But it came true enough.
It basically ready to ride after assembling and an oil change.
