i picked up a Kenda trackmasterII 110/100 18 DOT approved, as someone suggested on this site, going on my dirt road it seems a bit slippy but i dont know if that is a break in thing.
on deep loose dirt mud and muddy water and wet grass it grips like glue,

on the highway it feels no different than stock and it is not bumpy like one would assume a nobby tire would be..

it adds 2-3 inches in height to the bike because the knobs add that much to the tire diam..

does anyone know what a larger rear tire will do to my top speed and or speedo reading?

Nothing to your speedo, the speedo only reads the front tire speed.

For top speed, a taller tire is like a smaller rear sprocket...you will turn less rpms for the same speed.

It is a good idea to scrub in new tires.

I made tight figure 8s on my cul de sac to wear of the manufacturers mold release residue.

Not sure how much of an issue it is for a dirt tire.

I agree. Use caution with new tires. I got some 40 Km roads around my house, almost no traffic. I did slow controlled left and right turns for about an hour. Ahhh 40 Km's is school zone slow in the U.S. And yes I was in full gear.
